A GRADE Property Restoration: A Family Company Proudly Settled in Roxbury - TAPinto.net

Posted: 10 Dec 2019 12:00 AM PST

ROXBURY, NJ – Meeting homeowners in their time of need after a traumatic event, like a house fire, can be emotional and stressful. Christian Licciardi's construction business deals with these situations almost every day.

Luckily when Christian gets home to Roxbury on many evenings, the sounds of his neighborhood park help wash away the challenges of the day.

The 34-year-old entrepreneur, who owns A GRADE Property Restoration with his twin brother, Jon, lives right next to Horseshoe Lake Park in Succasunna. When the weather's nice, Licciardi and his wife, Nicole, often find themselves happily listening to the crack of baseball bats hitting balls, the whistles of coaches, the cheers of volleyball players and the laughter of kids at the park's Imagination Station.

"I am so proud to live in Roxbury," Licciardi said. "I tell everybody I know who is thinking about buying a house that they should move to Roxbury. Not only do we have amazing sports facilities, but it's also so convenient. You have everything you could possibly need in the town of Roxbury ... I love it and I'm very, very proud to live and work here."

Family Heritage

He and his brother are also proud of their company's new headquarters at 276 Route 10 in Succasunna. They bought and completely renovated the former battery store and recently celebrated their efforts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

A GRADE prides itself on helping homeowners manage highly stressful, often emotionally difficult events like fire and water damage to their home. The company, founded in 2010, specializes in restoration and renovation for residential and commercial properties impacted by fire, water or storm damage. It works with homeowners and their insurance companies to settle claims and restore their properties.

Chris and Jon leverage their extensive knowledge of building codes and construction experience to create fair and accurate estimates for the repairs of damaged homes. Their professional and courteous construction crews perform all the repairs at no cost to the homeowner, since they most often are paid directly from the insurance company.

The Licciardis, who grew up in Mount Olive, consider themselves "third-generation" experts in their field. "Our father and aunts both own their own restoration companies that continue the legacy of our grandfather's disaster service company that pioneered our industry in the 70s and 80s."

With three generations of experience and support behind us, the Licciardis feel very fortunate to have learned the trade from the best teachers in the business. "My brother and I are like the "Property Brothers" of insurance restoration contractors, without the lights and cameras," Licciardi said.

The Goal: Let's Get You Home

The estimates A GRADE prepares in its specialty software "are to the penny," Licciardi said. "The software is expensive and hard to master, which is why 95 percent of contractors don't use it. Our detailed line item estimates get approved by the insurance companies very quickly because all the information they need is clearly presented. Using a contractor who doesn't work with insurance companies regularly could result in job delays, frustration, and out-of-pocket expenses."

It's very important for those impacted by fire, storm or flood losses to be able to trust the people working on their property.

"The representative who shows up from our company, they are the person you're working with for the next several weeks or months," Licciardi noted. "It's important that you like that person, that they are well-spoken, punctual, and good at what they do. The company you hire should have a great reputation and you should ask for referrals. We also offer great incentives for working with us, such as free kitchen and bath design and cabinet upgrades, claim settlement assistance, a before-and-after photo book and we even invite our homeowners to spend a day at their job site learning about construction and getting hands-on."

At their ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Licciardi brothers not only took the time to thank everybody there – including a number of Roxbury officials – but they also took a moment to say a prayer of thanks for the way A GRADE is growing. They also thanked Giancarlo's for the desserts, $1 Deal for the balloons, Denise Dougherty of Millie-Dee for professional photography, and The Empanada Guy food truck for the tasty snacks.
