Carly John | Beauregard Daily News Hurricane Delta made landfall Friday evening bringing wind and rain to Beauregard Parish just over 6 weeks after Hurricane Laura devastated the area. BECi and Cleco have reported major outages and infrastructure was damaged. Louisiana Emergency Team released that they are beginning to assess the damage left by Delta, and urge residents to continue listening to local officials. Don't go sight seeing.There are still lots of hazards out there. Multiple businesses are reporting that phones line are not working due to damaged phone lines. Internet and phone service in the area is still spotty. Mayor Misty Clanton posted on her Facebook page that the city streets are clear.
