Bosco celebrates T.D. Carpet & Tile Clean's 20th anniversary - Tulsa World

evin Bosco followed the Golden Rule of job hunting: Already have a job while looking for another.

As a Georgia Pacific employee some 20 years ago, Bosco had harbored the idea of starting his own cleaning and restoration business.

He studied the industry and even worked on his days off at a company for free to get his foot in the door and learn the trade.

Bosco liked it and decided to strike out on his own in 1999.

That’s when T.D. Carpet & Tile Clean was born. Bosco specializes in water removal on a 24-hour basis and flood restoration in addition to cleaning.

“We do commercial and residential,” Bosco said of the company’s versatility. “I am available 24 hours for water damage and some of my commercial work is done at night.”

Having flexible hours is one thing, but Bosco understands what has driven his business.

“Customer service is No. 1,” he said. “That’s what has carried us through. The only thing I take out from a job is the dirt.”

When asked about business hours, Bosco said anyone that calls will usually hear his voice in the one-man operation.

“I answer the phone when it rings,” he said. “I try and be accessible when I can.”

Bosco also takes care of rental property, but despite being spread thin at times, he still can get to water emergencies at a moment’s notice.

Bosco and his wife, Denise, were the 2018 Wagoner Christmas Parade Grand Marshals. It was an honor for both.

“We didn’t grow up in Wagoner. We were shocked (by the honor),” Bosco said of the Christmas Parade. “The people in Wagoner have been good to me.”

T.D. Carpet & Tile Clean can also do work in Broken Arrow, Tahlequah and Tulsa.
