The cold weather has arrived in Scotland and with it comes the rising risk of mould in homes. The spores thrive at this time of year as households keep windows closed to keep warm air from escaping. But with nowhere to go, this heat transforms into moisture droplets, which settle into surfaces, eventually developing into the fungus. One room where black mould can be especially prevalent all year round is the bathroom thanks to the constant moisture. But experts have shared a trick to help improve ventilation without freezing. A project to restore split rail fencing at Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park begins Monday. The project, paid for by the Great American Outdoors Act National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund, will team young people with experienced mentors to replace fence lines in and around the park to help preserve the historic landscape and designate property lines and boundaries, according to a news release from the National Parks Service.

Set to host the 2025 Final Four in men's college basketball, the Alamodome in San Antonio doesn't appear to be shutting down anytime soon after to recent restoration and cleanup efforts were approved by the city. As reported by the San Antonio Current , the city approved a significant mold cleanup initiative that will cost $1.2 million. The Alamodome has over three decades of hosting notable sporting events and teams such as the NBA's San Antonio Spurs and XFL's San Antonio Brahmas. Just a few weeks ago, the city approved an upgrade renovation projected valued at $29 million dollars. The additional mold cleanup comes in the wake up significant water damage to roughly 3,200 square feet of ceiling.
